I love the way the burners are set up and I love the black top under the burners. So much easier to keep clean. The size is perfect. I™€™m using oven for 1st time tonight and I love that you can set it to where it will turn off after the cooking time is through, if you want it to, or you can just set a timer. Many selections. Have not used the steam clean, obviously, yet, so that will be a new hung for me.

I will NEVER buy a GE oven again.

Purchased three years ago, I've now fixed 4x, inclusive of a $200 diagnosis fee, then a two-week wait for the part (without use of stove), then wait for service. FOUR TIMES the SAME PART which controls gas into the right front burner. This is a dangerous product that leaks gas and cannot be fixed. The part itself is no good. GE does nothing. The fire department told me to replace the oven as the gas controls do NOT WORK and LEAK GAS. Unfortunately I've paid for it twice already. GE DOES NOT CARE. Left with the option of spending anouther $400 to fix the oven, I reluctantly took GE's offer to replace the oven with a new oven at a discounted price. Theft by any other name. GE is no longer the GE you thought it was. They just do not care one bit about their products or customers. Dealing with Bodewell is a joke. 30 minutes on hold just to be transferred to another department.

Before purchasing this gas range, I researched numerous models before deciding on this particular model. I really like the configuration of the burners, and the griddle in the center of them. It's easy to move the grates and griddle to clean it. The controls are easy to use. The oven heats evenly. It's also a really nice looking range that compliments my kitchen nicely. I've been using it for almost 5 months.

Cast iron grates

Cast iron grates and griddle are difficult to remove and replace for cleaning. Rubber stoppers that are supposed to keep the grates from rubbing and hitting the enameled surface of the range are not in the correct places.

I loved this range until the front glass on the oven shattered for no reason. The repair is almost $400. . We purchased it in July 2023. Last week, I was using the oven. I opened the door to look at the food and when I closed it, the glass shattered. I didn't slam the door. I didn't hit the door with anything. The repair is almost half of what I paid for it. I expected a good quality product from GE. VERY disappointed

Unbelievably Stupid Design

I've never encountered anything so stupid as the "Steam Clean" function on this oven. It, quite literally, does nothing. You pour a cup of water in the bottom of the oven, select Steam Clean, and the timer sets for 30 minutes. At the end of that period, you open the door, your water is still in the bottom of the oven, which is barely warm and you can put your hand in it, as well as touch the sides of the oven. Not understanding that this is the DESIGN of the function, I had a technician come three times to try to triage why nothing was happening. On his third visit, he used his meter to see that, in the first 9 minutes, the oven fires and the temperature rises to 190°. It then turns off and does nothing more. The technician called GE for guidamce, and was told that the oven was functioning exactly as designed. I guess the marketers at GE recognized that calling the function "Moist Warm Non-Clean" wouldn't really really be a great selling point. To the geniuses at GE, may I remind you that water doesn't turn to steam until 220°. As this is the only cleaning function on this model, the lucky owners of this will revert back to the good old days of your grandmother, and get on your hands and look knees to scrub the oven clean. Needless to say, this is the first, and LAST, GE appliance that I will own.

Rear Vent Grate Difficult to Clean

Full disclosure-- I have not actually used this product yet as we are still nearing the end of construction. But when I went to clean off the top after installing a microwave above, I realized that the rear grate over the vent cannot be easily removed for cleaning like the burner grates can. There was some small debris I could see down in the vent and I couldn't get the grate off or get a vacuum attachment to reach it. It seems like it will be an easy place for crumbs, etc. to reach when cooking. I think it can be pulled out from the wall, unscrewed, and the grate removed to clean-- but who wants to/is able to pull their stove out from the wall on a regular basis?

Wished this stove was better. Love the look of it but 6 months after purchase had service for a switch. Now 2 years later and warranty expired, the igniter has gone out and have to have service again. Our family was always GE buyers, but I have changed my mind with this oven and a new refrigerator that was serviced twice and now has had to be replaced. I wish they were making products the way they used to.

I returned a Verona stove that I paid much more money for and it was no good. This GE has no convection oven, no noisy fan that wastes electricity and blows hot air into your kitchen, cooks evenly, stove top lights up instantly, sealed burners, buzzer that goes off when oven is preheated, nice storage drawer, great reliability reviews, and looks fantastic. I looked through reviews for months before buying this. My ONLY complaint (only had it a month, but I cook a lot) would be that the griddle is a little heavy, and for cleaning, you have to lift that griddle off first before you can move the other cooktop pieces because it sits on top of them. I have not tried the steam clean yet. There is no other stove that would work for me, including wolf.

Annoyed and badly designed

[Employee of ge_appliances] I'm typically annoyed that whomever designed this stupid stove, probably never used it or has any idea how large a pot is. Even on my latgest pots and dutch oven, the flames spread yo outside of the pot width when up high. The flames also burned thewall next tothe stove, and we've had a gas stove forover 40 years, this is the first one that overshot the size of the stove or burned the wall. Clearly no improvement since 1950's appliances. I'm very annoyed we have to redo our kitchen because of this stupid stove.

No self-clean

Cooking area is great. The steam clean feature does not work at all. The water never even heats up. This is a huge disappointment as a self-cleaning oven is one of the main features we wanted.

Great Price and Ease of Use!

We purchased this GE 5 Burner Gas Range in July 2024 and started using it in August. At first, the flames from the larger burners were turning my pots black but after some time it worked like normal. I am not fond of having to constantly clean the control panel at the front of the stove, it gets splattered with grease especially when using a shallow pan. I would have preferred the larger burners to the back of the stove instead of the front to reduce the mess. My oven door is also very slightly misaligned but it does not affect my baking. The overall price was very affordable, good value for money and it is user friendly even for my elderly mother. This GE is so much better than my last Whirlpool Stove which started rusting so bad the oven panel developed holes after 4 years of use. I am certain that my GE will not develop rust because my mother in law had a GE Stove For over 15 years, the oven still looked new and all the Ignitors still worked. This is what inspired my purchase, I saw it's durability and reliability with my very eyes and I am happy with the product.

Worst purshase ever..it has three knobs stuck in high.. I have to shut the gas supply to turn it off. This has happened twice within a few months of buying it and now the warranty has expired it is happening again. Now I will have to pay to get it fix or throw it away

Gas smells, caustic fumes, loud oven burner noise

I guess I didn™€™t do due diligence™€¦ I™€™m worried my stove will fall into a lot of these reviews. I haven™€™t used it yet but to test burners. The oven smells of fumes and it™€™s hard to breathe. I read it™€™s normal to have a smell when first turned on, but this is quite caustic. I let it burn for an hour with vent on and windows opened. The oven also makes a loud whooshing noise while it™€™s running. It scared me so bad I thought it was going to blow up. I called GE and they said they didn™€™t know how to troubleshoot LP™€¦ also seems to get too hot™€¦. Now what? I™€™ve only had it 2days
