[Employee of ge_appliances] beautiful wall oven with so much capability. This unit was purchased to replace our old advantium oven that had been experiencing maintenance issue after 14 years of daily use. We are missing our comfortable old controls as we get used to the new display. Since we use our advantium multiple times per day learning the new controls has been fairly easy. Cooking is the same ease as our old unit and we are looking forward to the steam option on the new unit. We actually like the large clock display.

It's not a bug, it's a feature

Recently bought a new home from NVHomes. Opted for this Advantium (model psb9120sviss) as an "upgrade" for the usual microwave. Later, we noticed that the screen would go dark a few minutes after the microwave had been used. 3 months of repair attempts later the tech got the motherboard to communicate with his equipment. It still goes dark. Digging through the manual, we discovered: this is usual and cannot be changed. Other Advantium models give the user the option of the screen not going dark, but not this one. The built in oven below the advantium does not go dark. It makes the microwave look broken. And it is inconvenient to use. And of course we didn't get the runaround when looking for help from G E. What a shame.

The Advantium oven is the best oven made. This is #4 for me because I have moved a few times and I hate to be without one. It™€™s easy to use and the menus are very intuitive. It cooks great on all the different settings and can™€™t wait to use the camera as that is new to me. It™€™s as wide as a regular oven and I tend to use this oven more when it™€™s hot outside so I don™€™t add heat to the house. I love it!!!

Title: Overpriced and unreliable ™€" service plan was a mistake. Never again. I regret buying the GE Advantium microwave. I paid far too much for it and got carried away thinking I was buying a premium product. Instead, it had problems right from the start. I also purchased the GE/Assurant protection plan, and that was another costly mistake. The support experience felt overly automated, it was hard to reach a real person, and getting service scheduled was extremely difficult. When I did try to use the plan, I couldn™€™t get a timely appointment and the process dragged on for months before I was even given a date. In the end, I had to pay a local appliance repair technician out of pocket just to get the unit working, and it cost a lot. Between the purchase price, the service contract, and repair bills, I™€™ve spent an unreasonable amount on this microwave. Overall: poor value, frustrating service experience, and not something I would recommend.

The microwave works great. The only issue I have is that the door drops down instead of swinging open from the side. This makes it difficult to reach into the back of the unit when clean-up is required.
