Worked great for one day, then it will suddenly turn off. Not sure what is going on. Completely black, no response. Tried it with an extension cord, it will turn on, operate once, then black out.

Nice design. Good price. But the fan (which automatically comes on) is too loud and you really have to push down hard on the buttons to operate.

My home warranty purchased this as a replacement for my nice Whirlpool microwave. This new microwave is hollow sounding when you shut the door. It is cheaply made and we were so disappointed that we canceled our contract, after 13 years, with our home warranty.

Just installed this yesterday. Giving 5 stars because this over-the-range microwave came in perfect condition with all parts needed for installation and it was very affordable, under $300. Hoping this is a reliable appliance that will last for many years like the one it replaced from 2011.

I had this microwave installed about a month ago and it needs to be replaced. The door doesn™™t align up, the buttons are hard to push and one of the grease filters keeps on falling out. I had to add tape to keep it in place,the frame for the filter is so loose or the frame is bent or made incorrectly. Waiting for lowes to come and replace it.

This is similar to the Hotpoint it replaced, which was installed around 2010 (13 years ago).
The unit is fine, and seems to work well. The reason I didn't rate it higher is the placement of the electric cable. On the previous two units I had in this location, the cable exited from the far right corner on both units. This one is much closer to the center, causing two headaches:
1) New 1-1/8 hole in a cabinet floor to accommodate the new cable location.
2) The hole, being near the center of the cabinet, really complicates the use of the cabinet for storage.
It doesn't seem like hewing to something like an ad-hoc standard for electric should be a big problem for the designers.

Installed this microwave about 3 weeks ago, have used it extensively since then. Overall it seems pretty good, no issues with heating up food. A couple of cons, however. First, it requires CONSIDERABLE finger pressure to operate the keypad; you have to push each button extremely hard, which is very annoying. Second and similarly, the door has to be pushed very hard to get it to close. Those two aspects seem indicative of a low-priced unit which honestly, it is. But, the price was good and the old adage, "you get what you pay for," probably applies here as in most things in life. Hopefully, it will last 8-10 years. We'll see.

This is our second one of these in 6 years. I am hoping to get at least 10 years out of this one. We bought it because our first one started blowing our breaker after 6 years. I bought the same model because I did not want to drill a new mount into our kitchen wall (it was a real pain in the A__. I have to say I was very disappointed in the life span of the first one, as they are not easy to install.

Standard size oven fitted perfectly, using the brackets that came with the old one. Matched very closely with the Kenmore range, fridge and dishwasher that we kept. Functions and features work intuitively. The only thing we needed to get used to is the need to use more finger pressure on the touchpad.
